Everyone could use Zip at some point of every day to help them make decisions and settle disputes, so be sure to share the fun! To share the app, select the menu icon button located at the top left corner of the Zip home page, then tap "Share/Invite" located in the red bar. A pop-up will display where you can choose to share on social media or send an email to a friend or a group of friends. You can also share the app directly from your home screen by clicking “share app with friends” on the bottom of the screen.
No. Zip will never release or share any of your personal information under any circumstances.
Yes. Keeping you, your questions and your answers anonymous is what makes Zip so fun, interesting and valid. Every interaction you make on Zip is 100% private and anonymous.
No. You are, and always will be, an anonymous user. No one is ever identified in any way on our app.
You can change your email address or ZIP code in the "my profile" section located in Preferences. To change your profile, select the menu icon button located at the top left corner of the Zip home page. Tap "my profile" located in Preferences, then tap the section you want to edit. Once your desired changes have been made, tap "Save". A pop-up window will appear confirming your change. Tap "OK" and you will be returned to the home screen.

Tap "OK" and you will be returned to the home screen. If you change your mind, you can edit your categories of interest at any time.
When you are on the screen that has a question you feel is offensive, tap the flag icon located in the top right corner of that same screen. A pop-up window will appear. Select the most appropriate reason to report the question and we will be notified immediately. If that question breaches our terms of use, it will be removed and the asker will either be notified or have their account terminated.
You can simply opt out of any categories you would not like to receive questions from. Visit your categories of interest and uncheck the ones you would like to opt out of and click save.

Yes, when you read a question you want to follow, touch the "bell" icon located at the top left corner of the question screen before you answer. Answer the question, then it will be filed into your "followed questions" folder. To access your "followed questions" folder, select the menu icon button located at the top left corner of the Zip home page. Tap "followed questions" located in My History to view your followed questions.
If you answered a question, but did not click the “bell” icon to follow the question, you can still see the results once the time period expires on the question. Simply tap the menu button located at the top left of your home page and select “answered questions” under My History. You can then select the question you want to see and a pop-up window will be displayed with the results. Please note, however, that once a question has been answered, you cannot change your response.
No. Your first answer is the only opportunity to anonymously voice your opinion, so please think carefully before selecting your response.

To adjust the youngest age you would like to receive questions from, drag the white button located on the left side of the slider bar. You will see the age range change to the right of the bar. To adjust the oldest age you would like to receive questions from, drag the white button located on the right side of the slider bar. Tap "Save" when you are finished. A pop-up window will appear confirming your change. Tap "OK" and you will be returned to the home screen.
Zip operates using swipe technology. To skip a question, touch the bottom of the box containing the question and, with your finger still on the screen, swipe up quickly. The question will disappear toward the top of the screen and the next question will automatically be revealed.

All questions are receiving thousands of answers. Because Zip is a social app, we don’t want brands using it to conduct research. However, we are open to maybe releasing that feature in the future.

Not at this time. However, we are currently exploring creating a version of the app that will allow you to create a private Zip group of up to 20 of your friends. If enough users are interested, you will receive a question in your feed that will let you know.

Yes, we feel if you asked the question, you want to know the results! You will automatically receive a push notification containing the results to your question as soon as the end time period you designated is reached. Please note that this notification will only be sent during the time period you approved for push notifications to be sent to you.
No. We want to keep everyone's questions fair and on a level field, so we distribute the questions in a fair and balanced manner.
No. In order to keep questions and answers fair, once you send a question to other Zip users, it cannot be edited or recalled.
No. To make answers fair and balanced, Zip is designed to give you the most even geographic distribution of your question possible. So chances are the results you see are from all over the map!
